Sudden Death gets sudden attention in Los Angeles

Sudden Death 'Unpure Burial' Album Cover "Beau Brackett, hardworkin' guitarist/vocalist of Sarasota's Sudden Death, called from the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles to say the band is getting signed by a major record company.

Record company bigwigs and industry insiders feted Brackett for hours after he was called out in front of a 2,500-person symposium by a Capitol Records vice president, who heralded the production, songwriting, execution, etc. on Sudden Death's new CD "Unpure Burial" as the "great" standard participants needed to strive toward."

Nathan had established Atlas Recording Studios in 1994. In 2003, he has opened a second recording studio in addition to Atlas Recording's main facility. With over 15 years of experience; he is currently engineering and producing full time. He has fine tuned recording techniques, a unique style, vast experience "in the trenches" and golden ears. In addition to taking unique approach to recording, he also is a versatile mixing and mastering engineer. He has recorded, mixed and/or mastered, literally thousands of songs by over 200 different bands and artists.

Pink Lincoln/Hazzard Records Mix Session
Chris from the Pink Lincolns with Justin of Hazzard Records in Pink Lincolns Mix Session at Atlas Recording Studio B with Nathan Mixing. The smaller pics to the right are of Kill This Glamour. Recent work with Sudden Death (metal) lands them the opportunity of a life time. Sudden Death will be getting a European Distro deal with a major label and is also negotiating over a US major label deal based on their latest recording 'Unpure Burial' which was recorded, mixed and mastered all by Nathan Eldred at Atlas Recording Studios. Nathan looks forward to the opportunity to launch other bands careers into the major label scene.

He also is available in the capacity of a consultant. He has provided consultatations for engineers and producers, studio owners and studio construction, artists, and pro audio gear manufacturers. In 2000, Nathan started Atlas Pro Audio, Inc. it was a natural progression from studio consultation. He found himself already in the position of meeting many new people and providing recording consultation. There is little difference between engineering in the studio and studio/gear consulting, the same skill set needed in recording is what it takes to serve the needs of national clients, engineers, singers/songwriters, musicians, and producers. In the last several years, he has collaborated with many gear manufacturers on innovative product development for which there is a need in the recording industry. The creation of the 4 Channel Daking Mic Pre (Mic Pre IV) and the modular Daking console are the result of collaboration between Nathan and Geoff Daking. The release of the Buzz Audio Mono EQ, an added mod to the Vintech 1272, new products coming to the Old School Audio Line. And there is currently in the works a few products he is collaborating on, stay tuned.

Atlas Pro Audio is the exclusive distributor for Buzz Audio products in the US, as well as the world distributor and sole dealer for Old School Audio mic preamps and racks. Nathan also writes gear reviews and industry related articles. Nathan's own reviews are published online at www.atlasproaudio.com under "The Lowdown" review. The OSA Preamp review was featured in Tape Op. Also, see Pro Sound News (August 2005).

Nathan Eldred is available for major label and indie label freelance engineering, production, mixing and mastering locally and nationally. When not doing freelance work at neighboring facilities, or remote recordings, he can be found at his highly successful Tampa based studios, where he works with many local and national bands.
